38 In-Depth Textbook Review Reports: A Landmark Achievement by the KosEd Project

The European Union-funded project, "Support to Basic and Upper Secondary Education," “KosEd”, is delighted to share a significant achievement in its ongoing objective - textbooks review in Kosovo.

Driven by an unwavering commitment to education, each of our textbook review teams has successfully completed their comprehensive reports, exemplifying their dedication and professionalism.

Under the expert guidance of Florence Mihaela Singer, the project has successfully produced thirty-eight comprehensive review reports for textbooks in the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology of Kosovo (MESTI) catalog. In this pilot textbook review process, all the current textbooks for grades 1 to 8 (key stages 1 to 4) for Albanian language and mathematics were reviewed. 30 local experts, including 26 reviewers, 4 KosEd local non-key experts, and one international key expert, were involved as coaches in the process.

These experts were mobilized thanks to the EUOK’s (EU Office in Kosovo) expedited assistance and carried out very quickly and efficiently. This accomplishment stands as a testament to the collaborative spirit and unwavering dedication of the teams involved.

The exceptional work carried out by our teams, particularly during a period of limited resources and support, conveys a powerful message to all stakeholders.

This milestone serves as a valuable lesson, underscoring the importance of acknowledging and nurturing talent and dedication within the education sector,

The KosEd Project remains steadfast in its mission to drive positive change and progress in education, maintaining its dedication to enhancing the quality of learning materials available to students in Kosovo.
