Textbook Review and Development
One of the main components of the European Union project "Support for Basic and Upper Secondary Education," KosEd, is the review and revision of textbooks in Kosovo's education system.
This initiative aims to align textbooks with European standards and practices, ensuring a comprehensive legal framework.
KosEd, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI), reviewed 38 Albanian Language and Mathematics textbooks for grades 1-9. The findings were compiled into a report, which was delivered to the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
This review process, initiated by the European Union in 2023, focuses on integrating common educational goals to create inclusive textbooks for all students. The report, published in December 2023, was publicly disclosed in the presence of institutional actors and other stakeholders.
